Dr Martyn Pickersgill (Wellcome Trust Reader in Social Studies of Biomedicine, Usher Institute) is the recipient of a British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award - events organised in association with this that will be of relevance to Edinburgh Neuroscience include ones on the place of neuroscience in public policy, the contribution of social science to mental health research, and the role of sociology in contributing understandings of barriers to women in STEMM.
