CAMARADES study profiled in journal Nature
Monday, 2 October, 2017
The journal Nature has published an Editorial focussing on a study led by Professor Malcolm Macleod (CAMARADES group, Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences) which analysed papers published in Nature journals and looked at completeness of reporting following the implementation of checklists for authors.
Analysis of 448 papers (223 submitted before the author checklist was introduced in May 2013 and 225 published after) indicated that the proportion of papers that reported randomisation, blinding, exclusions and sample size calculations increased from 0% to 16%. There was no change in reporting rates in papers published outside the Nature group.
