Edinburgh Neuroscience colleagues elected as Fellows

Congratulations to Professor Charles ffrench-Constant (MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine) and Professor David Fitzpatrick (MRC Human Genetics Unit) have been elected as Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

The Academy of Medical Sciences is an independent body and represents the diversity of medical science in the UK. Its fellows are drawn from laboratory science, clinical academic medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, medical and nursing care, and other professions allied to medical science including ethics, social science and the law. Their mission is to advance biomedical and health research and its translation into benefits for society.

The Fellows have been elected for their contribution to biomedical and health research, the generation of new knowledge in medical sciences and its translation into benefits to society. Forty six world leading UK researchers have been elected in 2017 and this new intake  includes the highest female cohort to date (37%).
