The image on the cover of the January 2017 Open Biology issue is credited to Ross Jones, PhD student in the Gillingwater lab at the University of Edinburgh (Centre for Integrative Physiology). The image is of a labelled neuromuscular junction from the forelimb of a mouse. Excellent work!
