Professor Joanna Wardlaw features in Royal College of Physicians exhibition

Monday, 8 January, 2018

Professor Joanna Wardlaw (Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences) is currently featured in the Royal College of Physicians 'Women in medicine: a celebration' exhibition. This is an exhibition of specially commissioned photographic portraits honouring contemporary and historical women in medicine. It showcases 25 of today’s leading female clinicians, pictured with and reflecting on women from the history of medicine who have inspired them. Prof. Wardlaw was nominated by a Royal College and pays tribute to Marie Curie. The exhibition runs until 19 January 2018 at the Royal College of Physicians, London (weekdays 9-5).

The exhibition is the result of a project, coordinated by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), that brings together the leading medical bodies in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. The timing is also significant as 2017 is the centenary of the Medical Women’s Federation, and is also the first time in history that the majority of the world-renowned medical royal colleges have been led by women.
