Yifei Yang, Prof. David Price and Dr. Tom Pratt (all Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences, University of Edinburgh) have co-authored a new publication in 'Science' with David Price's former PhD student, Dr. Da Mi, now at Kings College London with Oscar Marin. They used single cell transcriptome sequencing to show that cerebral cortical GABAergic interneuron diversity arises as these cells are generated and long before they migrate to their final resting places in the cortex.
